When it comes to the role of nitrogen, we have to mention an important component - the accumulator. The accumulator is filled with nitrogen, which can store the remaining energy of the hydraulic breaker and the energy of the piston recoil in the previous blow, and release the energy at the same time in the second blow to increase the striking force. Simply put, the role of nitrogen is to increase the strike energy. Therefore, the amount of nitrogen determines the performance of the hydraulic breaker.

When there is a gap inside the accumulator, nitrogen gas will leak, causing the crusher to be weak, and even damage the leather cup of the accumulator for a long time. Therefore, when using the breaker, you should always pay attention to inspection. Once the blow is weak, please repair and add nitrogen as soon as possible.

How much nitrogen should be added to achieve the best working capacity of the accumulator?

Many customers will want to ask what is the optimal working pressure of the accumulator? The amount of nitrogen added to the hydraulic breaker of different brands and models is also different, and the general pressure is about 1.4-1.6 MPa. (approximately equal to 14-16 kg)

If there isn't enough nitrogen, the pressure in the accumulator will drop and the blow will be less powerful.

If there is too much nitrogen?

If there is too much nitrogen, the pressure in the accumulator is too high, the hydraulic oil pressure cannot push the cylinder rod upward to compress nitrogen, the accumulator will not be able to store energy, and the hydraulic breaker will not work.

How to fill with nitrogen?

1.Firstly, prepare the Nitrogen bottle.

2.Open up the tool box, and take out the Nitrogen charging kit,  Nitrogen meter and connection line.

3.Connect the Nitrogen bottle and Nitrogen meter with connection line, the bigger end is connected to bottle, and the other one is connected to Nitrogen meter.

4.Remove the charging valve from the hydraulic breaker, and then connected with Nitrogen meter.

5.this is the pressure relief valve, tighten it, and then release the valve of Nitrogen bottle slowly

6. At the same time, we can check the data on the Nitrogen meter until to 15kg/cm2

7.when the data up to 15, then release the pressure relief valve, we will find the Nitrogen meter return back to 0, then finally release it.

No matter if there is less or more nitrogen, it will not work properly. When charging nitrogen, be sure to measure the pressure with a pressure gauge, control the pressure of the accumulator within the normal range, and adjust it according to the actual working conditions, which can not only protect the components, but also improve the work efficiency.
